About

Overview

The AEE Oklahoma Chapter (AEE-OK) is a professional organization of energy engineers, facility managers, sustainability consultants, utility professionals, and students united by a shared commitment to advancing energy efficiency and responsible energy management across the state.

Founded in 2012, our chapter operates as a regional affiliate of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), a global nonprofit with over 18,000 members in more than 100 countries. Through AEE, Oklahoma professionals gain access to world-class certifications, training, and a vast professional network.

Our members represent a cross-section of Oklahoma's energy landscape — from commercial and industrial facilities to universities, government agencies, and consulting firms. We serve communities statewide, from Oklahoma City and Tulsa to Stillwater, Norman, and beyond.

"Our mission is simple: connect Oklahoma's energy professionals, advance their expertise, and give back to the communities we serve."

Our Mission & Values

Everything we do is guided by three core commitments to Oklahoma's energy community.

Education & Certification

We provide technical luncheons, workshops, and certification preparation resources to help members earn credentials like CEM, CEP, and CMVP — and stay current with evolving industry standards.

Community Engagement

Through free energy assessments for nonprofits and active student chapter mentorship, we bring professional energy expertise directly to the communities and campuses that need it most.

Professional Excellence

We foster a culture of high standards, peer recognition, and continuous learning — ensuring Oklahoma's energy professionals are among the best-prepared in the country.
